It seems as if paying players tens of millions dollars no longer ensures team loyalty. Now, as demonstrated late last week, two Nets, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving — who have done nothing for the team except collect paychecks and whine — want to be or will be consulted on team matters as part of a “collaborative” effort, otherwise known as practical, near-impossible lunacy.
Who’s in charge here? “All of us!”
It’s also an act of preemptive pandering to prevent discord and further inane debate over hiring Steve Nash — a great NBA player and in-game QB, but for crying out loud and, egads, a white man! — as coach, though neither has publicly complained about the hiring of Nash, the Nets are not deaf.
