California-based ZeroLabs can transform your retro ride into an all-electric car.
California-based electric car start-up ZeroLabs has just launched a new electric vehicle (EV) platform that can be inserted underneath classic cars to give them a modern electrified powertrain in a matter of days.
Set to launch with limited availability from late 2021, ZeroLabs is taking enquiries now for the world’s first complete electric platform – featuring an electric motor, lithium-ion battery and DC fast-charging capabilities.
The company plans to release further details closer to the commencement of manufacturing, but has already outlined four key vehicle types it will be able to convert to full-electric: Classic 4x4s from 1947-1975, classic muscle cars from pre-1975, classic two-door coupes from 1948-1975 and classic pick-ups from 1947-1975.
