He said people on the call want to see additional rally- type events, and a car club that is “nothing formal” but focused on enjoying their vehicles.
“Owners want people to see their vehicles – 50 percent of owning a classic car is driving it, and the other 50 percent is people looking at my car and loving it,” he said.
“Unfortunately the old way of doing (car shows) has gone by the wayside, and instead of bringing people to the cars we’re taking our cars to the people,” Middleton said, predicting that even post-COVID-19, car owners will stage shows with a rally component so the general public can see them.
Middleton invites people to join the Saugeen Shores Car Club Facebook group for future news, including another virtual meeting before the end of the month.
