Classic car enthusiasts were clamoring for admission to Stahls Automotive Foundation in February, snatching up limited tickets for two “pop-up” openings of the museum in March.
“This was a way for us to test our reopening steps by having people back in the museum,” Stahls Automotive Foundation General Manager Terri Coppens said.
Stahls Automotive Foundation museum closed in mid-March 2020 for regular in-person visits due to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations regarding COVID-19 and governmental regulations. The museum, located on North Bay Drive, near 26 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue in Chesterfield Township, used the closure time to work on renovations.
