A Belfast taxi driver who says he’s witnessed some madness on the roads in this 30 years in the job couldn’t believe it when a learner driver cut across his path driving the wrong way up a one-way road.
David Stitt, who has been ferrying customers around the city’s roads for decades, caught footage of the car coming the wrong direction up the A2 off slip towards Sydenham bypass on his dashcam on Friday morning.
Even after the 50-year-old honked and pointed out what they were doing wrong, he said the driver continued their journey the wrong way.
He told Belfast Live: “The first thing that I saw on the bonnet was the L plate, so there was somebody sitting beside them obviously that has their test and have to have a bit of experience obviously.
