As the world moves ever closer to normalizing electric vehicles, classic car enthusiasts grow increasingly wary about the future of their hobby. But for those already tired of the smell of gasoline and itching to instead plug their car into the wall like a smartphone, there are plenty of companies that offer EV conversions for older models.
The latest firm to join those ranks is Everrati (formerly Ionic Cars) with its battery-driven 964-generation Porsche 911.
Starting with a donor chassis, Everrati strips the body to bare metal and coats it in a rust-preventing zinc coating. A custom wide body is installed – made from carbon-fibre – and the sonorous flat-six mounted behind the rear axle is replaced with a totally silent electric motor.
